Do I need to buy a dedicated device?
No. Any tablet becomes the kiosk and staff scan with their own phones. If you already have a card reader, its records can be synced in batches.
What if someone photographs the QR and sends it to a colleague?
The code is signed and refreshes every 20 seconds, and every phone is verified once by SMS, so a shared old code is rejected. You can also capture a proof photo at scan time.
Do employees have to download an app?
No. The link sent by SMS opens in the browser and can be added to the home screen; no app store is involved.
What happens if the tablet loses its connection?
You open a device-fault record and an authorised person can enter manual records for that period. Records can be corrected up to 31 days back.
Is the timesheet produced automatically?
Yes, together with the Shifts & Timesheets app: the monthly timesheet is calculated from attendance, shifts, leave and public holidays using your accountant’s codes, and exported to Excel.
