Deferred-Price Sales Sell Now, Fix the Price at Collection
Sell today. Settle the price at collection.
Four figures for every customer: sold, returned, shipped and still held for them. As prices move, the remaining balance is valued at today’s price.
Sold, shipped, still held. At a glance.
Sell the goods today and fix the price on the day you collect. Shipments, collections, returns and closures are tracked separately, and each customer’s open position and product-group balances sit on one screen.
Four figures. The whole position.
Open a customer’s deferred-price account and the sold, returned, shipped and still-held quantities sit at the top. Below them: the sales summary, what is left to ship, what is awaiting collection and every transaction.
The price is fixed on collection day.
The collection form shows each line’s price on the day of sale next to today’s price. The remainder is valued at the current price; any discount or over-collection is shown with its percentage, and a discount needs a written reason.
Ship by lot, on the day you choose.
Sold goods are held for the customer until you ship them. When you do, you pick lots from the warehouse; one line can draw on several lots, and packed and loose lots can ship together. If the receiver differs from the buyer, the transfer sale is created for you.
Returns and closures, on their own lines.
Returns are taken against an actual shipment and go back into the warehouse you choose. Anything you will not ship is closed with a reason. Each step is its own numbered transaction and none waits on another.
One company. One record.
A deferred-price sale posts to the customer’s account, shipments post to stock and collections post back to the account. Every step is a numbered transaction, visible on the customer’s file as the deferred-price account.

Questions, answered.
How is this different from a normal sale?
The goods are sold today but the price is fixed at collection. The collection form shows the price on the day of sale next to today’s price, and the remainder is valued at the current price.
Do sold goods have to ship right away?
No. They are held for the customer until you ship them and appear as “still held” in the summary. Anything you won’t ship is closed with a reason.
Can I be paid in hazelnuts?
Yes. Alongside cash, bank transfer and card, the collection channels include settlement in hazelnuts and on account.
How do returns work?
A return is taken against a shipment that actually went out, so it can never exceed what was shipped. The goods go back into the warehouse you choose.
What if the goods go to someone other than the buyer?
Choose the receiver when shipping. If it differs from the buyer, a transfer sale and its transaction are created in the receiver’s name automatically.
