Production Tracking Planned and Make-to-Order

Start. Finish. Stock updates itself.

Each branch chooses its own flow: staged, recipe-driven planned production, or a queue that starts from customer orders.

Planned or made to order.

Two ways of working in one app: staged, recipe-driven planned production, or a queue that starts from sales orders. Materials are drawn from lots by FIFO or LIFO, waste is split by type and the product enters stock with its own lot.

A queue ordered by due date.

In the make-to-order flow, orders waiting for production are grouped as overdue, today, tomorrow and later. A badge on every row shows whether the raw materials are in stock.

Before you start: which lots will be used.

Before you press Start, you see the material requirement and the exact lots that FIFO or LIFO will draw from. If anything is short the screen says so, and with your approval the shortfall can go into negative stock.

A live timer. Waste by type.

The timer runs from the moment production starts. When you finish, you enter the good quantity and the waste against types you define yourself; one production receipt is issued, materials are deducted and the product enters stock.

Planned production, stage by stage.

A production type is defined by its stages and outputs. You start and stop stages and record inputs, outputs and waste. While a stage runs, measurement and analysis tasks appear at the intervals you set and the right people are notified.

One company. One record.

The production receipt draws materials from their lots and writes the product into stock with a new lot. The order moves from production to ready for delivery, and the waybill and delivery receipt attach to the same record.

Questions, answered.

Should I choose planned or order-based?

It depends on how you work. Plants that run staged, recipe-driven production to a plan or to stock use the planned flow. Businesses where every job starts from a customer order, such as print shops, use the order-based flow. The choice is per branch.

Which lot are materials taken from?

FIFO (oldest lot first) or LIFO (newest lot first), as your company prefers. You see which lots will be used before you start, and lots reserved for another order are never touched.

Can I start if materials are short?

The screen shows exactly what is missing. If you allow it, the shortfall goes into negative stock with a confirmation; if not, production doesn’t start.

Why does Production require Quality Control?

Production analysis results and release approval work together with the Quality Control app, so choosing Production adds Quality Control to your package.

Can I undo a finished run?

Yes. Undoing a finish cancels the production receipt, returns the materials to stock and removes the product from it.
