Quality Control Software Incoming Inspection and Release Approval
Nothing out of spec passes unapproved.
Each result is attached to the lot and the waybill line and gets its own transaction number. Which lot passed through whose hands, with which result, is always on record.
Every lot, with its analysis.
Define analysis parameters with reference ranges. Incoming goods wait for analysis by waybill line; an in-range result is accepted, an out-of-range one goes to approval for a conditional accept or a rejection.
Define a parameter once.
Choose the result type: numeric, percentage, free text or yes/no. Set the minimum and maximum reference, the unit of measure and the people authorised to run the analysis.
Incoming goods join the analysis queue.
If a product belongs to an analysis group, its waybill line joins the incoming-analysis queue at goods receipt. A group applies to goods received from the start date you set.
Accept. Conditional. Reject.
If every result is within its reference, the analysis is accepted automatically. If a parameter that requires approval falls outside, the analysis goes to an approver, who gives a conditional accept or a rejection and writes the reason.
The result lives on the lot.
Every analysis is a numbered record attached to the lot and the waybill line. When shipping you can show only lots whose analysis passed, and the completed-analyses report filters by customer, product, result and date.
It works on its own, too.
Businesses that only inspect incoming goods can use Quality Control by itself. Together with Production, it adds production analyses, stage measurements and release approval.
One company. One record.
Every analysis is a numbered record written to the purchase waybill line and to the lot. How a lot was accepted is read from that same record in inventory, in production and at shipping.

Questions, answered.
We don’t manufacture. Is Quality Control still useful?
Yes. It can be bought on its own and works for businesses that only inspect incoming goods. Received goods wait for analysis by waybill line and the result is written to the lot.
What happens when a result is out of range?
If the parameter is set to send out-of-range results to approval, the analysis goes to an approver, who gives a conditional accept or a rejection with a note. If the option is off, the result is recorded and the analysis is accepted.
What kinds of results can be entered?
Numeric and percentage values are checked against a minimum and maximum; free-text and yes/no results are compared with the expected answer. Every parameter has a short and a long unit name.
Can anyone enter an analysis?
No. You choose the authorised analysts for each parameter. Changes to parameters and groups are permission-controlled too; a change by someone without full permission goes to approval.
Do analysis results matter at shipping?
Yes. When picking lots for a shipment, the ready-to-ship filter lists only lots whose analysis passed and that are not locked.
